Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Last Updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Json To Excel AI ("the Service", "we", "our", or "us") via jsontoexcelai.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Json To Excel AI provides free, web-based, client-side data conversion and visualization utilities. The Service enables users to parse, shape, format, preview, and convert JSON, CSV, TSV, XML, YAML, and other tabular structured documents into Microsoft Excel formats (`.xlsx`, `.xls`), CSV, and associated file formats. All processing is executed client-side within the user's browser environment.
3. Absolute User Ownership of Data
You retain 100% full and exclusive ownership of your input files and converted outputs.
Json To Excel AI claims zero intellectual property rights, licenses, or liens over any files, data schemas, tables, or records that you parse or export through the Service. Because all calculations take place locally, we never transmit, copy, or retain any portion of your data.
4. Permitted and Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or intercept proprietary client-side source code beyond permitted open-source licenses.
- Use automated scraping or denial-of-service vectors that unduly disrupt our hosting infrastructure or CDN edge nodes.
- Use the service to craft or distribute malicious payload scripts embedded in structured data documents.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF FLATTENING CALCULATIONS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While we make every effort to ensure precise schema parsing and conform to RFC specifications, you are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the integrity and mathematical accuracy of converted output files before relying on them for mission-critical, tax, or legal filings.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JSON TO EXCEL AI, ITS CREATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, SYSTEM DOWNTIME, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
7. Third-Party Libraries
The Service incorporates open-source software libraries, including SheetJS, JSZip, and Mozilla PDF.js. Use of these libraries is governed by their respective open-source licenses (such as Apache 2.0 and MIT).
8. Modifications to These Terms
We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted immediately with a revised "Last Updated" timestamp. Your continued use of the website following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
