Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Last Updated: September 2026
Your data never leaves your device. Period.
Unlike traditional online file conversion services that transmit files to remote cloud servers, Json To Excel AI operates entirely inside your local web browser engine. When you paste JSON, drop a file, shape columns, or download an Excel/CSV spreadsheet, every calculation is executed locally via your browser's JavaScript runtime.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because of our architectural commitment to edge processing, we do not have access to, nor do we collect, log, or store any of the following:
- Input Files & Payloads: Your raw JSON, CSV, TSV, XML, YAML, or PDF contents.
- Converted Documents: The resulting Microsoft Excel (`.xlsx`, `.xls`), CSV, or JSON exports.
- Sensitive Metadata: Field names, object schemas, customer IDs, API credentials, financial records, or proprietary schemas contained in your files.
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require accounts, logins, credit cards, or identity verification to use the conversion engine.
2. Local Storage and Client-Side State
Json To Excel AI utilizes standard browser-native storage mechanisms strictly for your convenience:
- Theme Preferences: We store your chosen color theme (light or dark mode) in your browser's
localStorageso your preference persists across page visits. - Session State: Temporary conversion previews reside in active browser memory (RAM) and are automatically destroyed when you refresh or close the browser tab.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Json To Excel AI is 100% cookie-free. We do not set first-party advertising cookies, nor do we permit third-party tracking beacons, cross-site trackers, or fingerprinting scripts on our platform.
4. Third-Party Libraries and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)
To provide high-performance document parsing and export, the application loads public, open-source client libraries:
- SheetJS (xlsx): Used for compiling and parsing Excel spreadsheets in the client.
- JSZip: Used for client-side ZIP container packaging.
- Mozilla PDF.js: Used for local text extraction from PDF files.
- Google Fonts: For serving web typography (Inter, JetBrains Mono).
These assets are loaded using secure HTTPS CDN endpoints with standard browser caching. These CDNs receive standard network request metadata (such as your browser's IP address and user-agent string during initial script download), but never receive any file contents, JSON text, or spreadsheet data.
5. Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA Considerations)
Because our service does not transmit, store, or process personal data on external servers, Json To Excel AI is inherently compliant with strict data protection regulations:
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): No cross-border data transfer occurs; data remains on the data subject's own device.
- CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We do not sell, rent, or share consumer personal information.
- HIPAA & Confidentiality: Healthcare and financial datasets can be converted safely because data never leaves the local perimeter.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our tooling or legal standards. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp. Our core commitment—zero server data uploads—will never be compromised.
